Hello friends! I can't believe I am actually going to Blog my journey with the Gold Gym Challenge! Wow!! What can I say besides that I am still in shock that I am doing THE CHALLENGE. The day has finally came for me to put my money where my mouth is! Yikes.. My heart is racing with excitement just thinking about everything that I have to quit to get healthy for the challenge. Anyone who REALLY knows me; knows that I am a closet smoker! Yes, I smoke. I can't believe I have come out of the closet! I have smoked 10 cigarette's a day for the past 15 years. Yes, I have Asthma! Yes, its horrible that I have abused my body this way! Yes, I did quit while I was pregnant but that wasn't easy! I remember the "Hell" I put Garrod and Michelle through each and every time I wanted a smoke. Thanks guys for putting up with me!
Back to the point I am quitting now for good, forever and ever! I never want to smell like a dirty ash tray again! Yuck!! And isn't it weird how just writing about cigarettes kinda makes me want one! But I am not going to cave in. I will go look at my gross pictures of diseased lungs to smack some reality into my thick skull! I am praying for the strength, peace, and wisdom to quit forever! I am also praying for all of you who might be thinking about quitting too. You can do it! Just don't go to me for any advice!! I'm not very smart on the subject; as you might have noticed! I am just determined to NEVER SMOKE AGAIN!!

- I am the first to admit that I have never been good at living a healthy lifestyle. I have been living my life happily taking care of others and not thinking of what I needed to do to take care myself. That is why participating in THE GOLD GYM'S CHALLENGE is so important to me! This incredible opportunity is going to give me the gift of feeling good inside and out. Plus, I get some TIME FOR MYSELF!!! I am excited and terrified at the same time for the upcoming public humiliation of weighing in on Air. I keep visualizing how thin I will be at the LAST weigh in.
